A hearty and lovable welcome to 2009!

The high points in 2008 for me were the over 200 couples I had the pleasure to meet and marry.

While there is much we might also want to forget about 2008, it does no good to dwell on the past...just learn from it and hope for a brighter 2009.  I believe 2009 will indeed be a great year.  

I look forward to my work everyday and the new friends I make.  In addition to the ceremonies, I'm also grateful for new business relationships and want to introduce readers to my

friends at the lovely and historic Old Town Manor and Rose Lane Villas .  These properties are

distinguished from other fine lodging establishments in Key West as they specialize is wedding groups

and have created packages which enable couples to book the entire property and use it for

the ceremony and reception.  This is perfect for weddings with 30-60 guests.  They are flexible 

regarding use of the beautifully lush tropical courtyard.  Small Chef at Large has catered many fabulous

events on premises, but couples can also keep it simple and provide food and beverage from a

local grocery if that suits their style.  Another great benefit is that when you book the package,

my planning services are included free of charge!  There are even wonderful rental properties managed

by folks at Old Town Manor  called Key West Home Style .  The neighboring William Skelton House

or the Heron Estate are perfect for parties between 8-10 persons.

Another year gone, but for the memories. Ring in 2007 at some of these hot spots in Key West.
One of my favorite spots and where you'll find me is at Schooner Wharf at the foot of William St. at the Key West Bight Marina. The owner, Evelena Worthington
will do her annual "Dropping of the Wench", this year from the main sail mast of the Schooner Liberty Clipper. This is a riot to watch. Look for photos at KeyWestPix.com.

Thanks for finding me. My goal with Conch Concierge is to offer a comprehensive, reliable resource
for accurate and relevant information regarding Key West and the Florida Keys. A place I love.

While the name is Conch Concierge, my primary vocation is to work as a wedding officiant, planner and
photographer. I want to make your wedding and honeymoon experience in Key West the best that it can possibly be. The weddings I'm involved in tend to have between 2-100. The average is probably around 20 persons. If this sounds like you, please continue...
You might be wondering, with all of the options available, where do I start? One place might be to
choose a date, officiant and then location. Assuming you've decided on Key West, you might also want to decide if your nuptials will be on land or sea. Another place to start might be to decide on a budget and who you plan to invite. They are frequently related.

There are a number of reasons couples choose a destination wedding. Sometimes budget (believe it or
not, usually destination weddings are cheaper than those at home). I frequently hear that it was getting
so crazy trying to satisfy so many different opinions or "needs" from friends and relatives, the wedding
was taking a life of it's own. To get back to "reality" couples decide to change course and make a bee-line to Key West. Instead of inviting everyone, those who can make the trek to Key West will come
and those who couldn't make it can see the photos (or video). No one is offended this way, well maybe
fewer anyway.

Please consider this:
There isn't one right way or one right reason to plan a destination wedding. But the main reason is
to satisfy your needs and create the ceremony that satisfies you and reflects your wishes.
Please consider me your ally in this regard. Ask for my advice and you shall recieve the benefit of my experience making wedding dreams come true.
